Mirror’s Edge gets iPhone and iPod Touch release

3 December 2009

It appears as though the iPhone and the iPod Touch are fast becoming the mobile gaming world’s new platform of choice, with a string of releases recently hitting Apple’s pride and joy product line.

This trend is certainly not slowing down. Publisher EA today announced that a mobile version of first person action adventure Mirror’s Edge would be released for the iPhone and the iPod Touch in January.

“Despite the original featuring first person gameplay this version appears to be a side scroller featuring 14 levels and “dynamic camera angles [that] capture the intense action of this unique game.”

Released in 2008 on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and in 2009 on PC, Mirror’s Edge was well received by critics and currently holds an average review score of between 79/100 and 81/100 according to platform.

Mirror’s Edge will be available for purchase in 2010 on the Apple App store.
