Playstation 4: no DualShock 3 support

PlayStation DualShock controller sliced diced destroyed redesigned

While the Playstation 4 will work with the Move controller, the upcoming console will not support the PS3’s DualShock 3 controllers.

When asked about the PS4’s possible compatibility with DualShock 3 controller’s, Sony Worldwide Studios’ Shuhei Yoshida simply said “No, [PS4] doesn’t support DualShock 3.”

He did add that “it does support PS Move.”

Sad news for gamers hoping that their PS3 controllers would work; however, it is understandable as the PS4 controller looks to be a vastly different piece of hardware to that of its predecessor.

Yoshida also mentioned that the PS4 won’t work with PS3 game discs and PSN titles.
