EA’s new SimCity release is garnering some great reviews, however, there have been many complaints with the server issues. EA has assured gamers who are yet to receive the game that issues will be fixed ahead of the international launch.
“Due to the high demand for SimCity, Origin has experienced delays impacting a small percentage of users. We’re working non-stop to resolve,” the company tweeted on the official Origin Twitter account yesterday. “We’re making changes to prevent further issues, and are confident that Origin will be stable for international launches later this week,” it tweeted further.
EA has already made provisional plans to reduce server load times, as two new game servers were added, along with a new server update which recently released.
EA also recommended players to switch to another server if problems are being encountered. The problem which still exists is that existing saved games and cities-in-progress are tied to the server they were created on.
