Tobias and the Dark Sceptres

Adam Butcher began making Tobias and the Dark Sceptres when he was 14-years-old. 13 years later, he has finally finished his epic saga.

The game was built in Multimedia Fusion, and is the best kind of game there is: free.

Butcher describes the game as “A Zelda rip-off that is nothing like Zelda. A labour of love. A game that time forgot.”

To mark Tobias and the Dark Sceptres’ completion, Butcher has put together a short documentary about the game – posted below.

Find out why the game took so long, how the indie game world evolved during the 13 years it took to make it, and what mistakes you shouldn’t make when putting your own title together.
