The world of The Witcher 3 is revealed; it’s massive

22 April 2015
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases in less than a month, something we needn’t have to tell you, and there is little doubt that more and more details will be leaked as launch day approaches, whether by fans or CD Projekt RED themselves. As it turns out, this latest leak is, in fact, courtesy of CD Projekt RED themselves. The Polish studio has released some pretty neat screenshots of the game’s world map.

According to the released screenshots, the world will be divided into two regions: a smaller Prologue map and a larger Northern Realm map. There is also one area that you can visit by boat. We also learned that there will be next to no lading screens, other than loading a new region via the world map, and because each region is so massive, you will spend most of your time in it.

According to CD Projekt RED, what we see now is only the “mortal” realm. So there’s more to the world than we ever once assumed, or that CD Projekt RED ever showed us in gameplay footage. That’s a teaser-and-a-half, if ever there was one.

We cannot wait any longer for this game and just wish it was here already. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May, 19.
