Ever had a favourite show taken off the air?

It’s not a particularly great feeling, especially knowing a show deserved to go on for a much longer run.

We’re not the only ones either, Priceonomics has created a list of the best TV shows on IMDB that had been cancelled early.

Using these data, they identified about 500 shows that met the following criteria:

1. The show was cancelled after three seasons or fewer
   
2. The last episode aired no later than 2013
   
3. The show aired in prime time
   
4. The show was originally on an American network
