Top 5 upcoming mobile games

Mobile games have come into their own recently and this can be credited to the fact that mobile gaming technology has advanced massively over the years.

Mobile gaming is the fastest-growing industry in gaming and accounts for just over 50% of the gaming industry’s revenue, which is not much of a surprise considering there are 6.6 billion smartphone users in the world today.

With the sheer number of games being released on the mobile platform, it can be difficult to work out which ones are worth playing.

To help, we’ve put together this list of the top five upcoming mobile games.

Rainbow Six Mobile

Rainbow Six Mobile will be a free-to-play FPS game that will feature the same competitive 5v5 matches that players of Siege are familiar with.

The mobile adaptation will also include maps like Bank and Border, as well as familiar game modes like Bomb and Secure Area.

The game’s website shows ten confirmed operators, namely Ash, Sledge, Twitch, Thermite, Hibana, Caveira, Bandit, Smoke, Valkyrie, and Mute.

Rainbow Six Mobile doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is set to come out sometime in 2022 and will be made available for Android and iOS devices.

Much like the console and PC version, Dauntless mobile will have players take on the role of a slayer, who is tasked with hunting down and killing monsters known as behemoths.

You can choose to hunt solo or team up with three of your friends as you take down behemoths and collect crafting materials that you can then use to make weapons to take on even scarier monsters.

According to the developer Phoenix Labs, the mobile version of the game is currently in the early concept phase and a timeframe for when it will be released has not been given.

Dauntless will likely be a free-to-play title and will be made available for Android and iOS devices.

Star Wars: Hunters

Star Wars: Hunters is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire, and will feature an all-new cast of characters – from bounty hunters to stormtroopers and rebel heroes.

The game will require a constant internet connection as it is a real-time, team-based arena combat game, and you’ll fight at some of the most iconic locations within the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars fans can start getting hyped as the game is set to release in 2022 on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch – however, it is not yet known if cross-play will be available.

Battlefield Mobile

The Battlefield franchise is a master in the AAA genre, and it’s officially coming to the mobile platform in 2022.

Although information on the mobile adaptation has been scarce, Battlefield mobile will feature the same gameplay that fans of the series are familiar with.

Players will be dropped onto a large map full of weapons, gadgets, tanks, and other vehicles, and fight against the enemy team to secure kills or objectives.

There will also be four classes available to players which include Assault, Medic, Support, and Recon.

Apex Legends Mobile

Apex Legends Mobile was developed by Respawn, and while the game will feature mostly the same content as the PC and console original, Respawn also has plans to make the game a stand-alone mobile adaptation.

The available modes are the default Battle Royale on the World’s Edge map, Ranked Battle Royale, Mini Battle Royale, Team Deathmatch, and 3v3 Arenas.

Apex Legends Mobile players will be able to get their hands on mobile-first Legends before they enter the mainstream version on PC and console.
