R50,000 up for grabs — All Stars Assetto Corsa Competizione tournament announced for South Africa

10 June 2022

Gaming and esports organization Mettlestate has partnered with Incredible Connection and Logitech G to bring South African sim racers the biggest Assetto Corsa Competizione tournament in the country.

The tournament will comprise of 36 teams and run from 18 June to 9 July, and sim racers will be competing for a R50,000 prize pool.

There will be three weeks of qualifiers for racers to prove themselves behind the wheel.

Each week of qualifiers will feature a different track, and if you don’t make it past your qualifier, you’ll be allowed to register again for the following week — giving racers the best chance of making it through to the playoffs.

The top teams from each week’s qualifiers will be promoted to the finals, where the best sim racers in South Africa will compete in a four-hour endurance race to determine the overall winner.

Tournament outline:

  • Registrations open: 9 June
  • Qualifiers start: 18 June

“South Africa’s sim racers are desperate for new competitive opportunities and we’re excited to be giving them one with the help of Incredible Connection and Logitech G,” she added.

The playoffs and finals will be streamed on the Incredible Connection Twitch channel.
