Nvidia’s AI chips will now be used by doctors

28 November 2017

GE Healthcare has announced it will use Nvidia’s deep learning platform to assist it in processing healthcare data.

Nvidia’s deep learning chips will be used to analyse medical scans, process data, and detect anomalies in scans.

GE Healthcare has also launched its new Revolution Frontier CT scanner, which boasts an embedded Nvidia AI chip.

The addition of a deep learning processor means the CT is twice as fast as its predecessor and delivers better clinical outcomes in lesion detection.

“Healthcare is changing at remarkable speed, and the technologies that will transform the industry should reflect that pace,” said GE Healthcare.
