The thing is, some games are just not meant to be finished. Instead, they exist simply to remind you that you’re not as good at games as you thought you were.
They also remind you that your controller or keyboard and mouse will break into a lot more pieces than you’d expect when you hurl it at the wall. Remember, there’s no shame in ragequitting if it’ll save your hardware from meeting the floor.

Okay, so technically you can finish Borderlands without finishing Crawmerax, but an unfinished achievement list is the same thing as an unfinished game, and nobody has this achievement. Nobody. Not even the people who do because Crawmerax is invincible, and he’s just pretending to be dead so you’ll stop tickling him with your silly bangsticks. Don’t believe me? Restart the game.

Duke Nukem Forever (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)
Sometimes it’s too hard to just keep paying attention all the way to the end. Statistically, nobody bothered.

Hate to bring up an old thread… but I finally got to play Dark Souls and I’ve just got to say… it is the most unforgiving game I have ever played.
There is a knight at the base of a tower who one shots me. Even if I roll out the way he clips my leg and I am dead. Forget dodging the attack where it is going to land… the bugger changes the direction of his swing mid-attack… with a huge 2 hander!
Slowly getting the hang of this… reading up as much as possible. Also thank goodness I have an Xbox controller for the PC version. Keyboard and mouse did not agree with me ;p
