After the whole Ellen Page claiming that Ellie from The Last of Us looks like her-debacle, we decided to have a look at some other characters that may have an uncanny resemblance* to some real-life counterparts.
Guile / Kobus Wiese
One is a former Springbok rugby player, the other – a military combatant, but one thing is for certain: they’re identical.
From the block-like high-rise hair, to the love for the colour green, its clear that Capcom took inspiration from the big man.

Big Boss / Sean Connery
The former 007 agent has to know about Kojima’s Metal Gear protagonist, because he’s been around since the 80s.
The beard, the scowling brow, and the mystery, everything screams Connery, but at least Big Boss borrows the famed actor’s characteristics and look with grace and poise.
Miranda (Mass Effect 2) / Michael Jackson
They say you shouldn’t speak ill of the dead, but how did MJ not catch on to Bioware’s identity-thieving scheme!?
Mass Effect’s Miranda looks frighteningly like the King of Pop – Jackson was probably too busy fending off the rabid paparazzi to notice.
Prince (Prince of Persia: Warrior Within) / Jared Leto
The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman and Fight Club star has the dark and brooding good looks and physique needed for a hero, and Ubisoft took wind of this and blatantly ripped him off with the remade Prince in Warrior Within.
Why Jake Gyllenhaal was selected to play Dastan in the Prince of Persia movie was bizarre; why didn’t they just go straight back to the source material – Jared Leto.

John Travolta / Marcus Fenix
Scrunched up face? Check. Bandana? Check. Make the character look exactly like John Travolta? Check.
It’s clear that Epic Games borrowed the facial qualities of the Grease star to skin out the Locust Horde battling saviour of human-kind.

*MyGaming has zero evidence of these allegations and claims of studios stealing likenesses; we’re just pointing fingers and seeing what happens.
