Games you can play this week – zombies and park rangers

February has just gotten underway and is already proving to be a notable month for gaming in 2016.

An expansion of the incredible Dying Light launches this week, along with new entries into the Ultimate Ninja Storm and Assassin’s Creed franchises, which should please fans of either series.

Also out this week is the gorgeous, story-driven Firewatch and the adorable adventure of Unravel arrives on PS4.

Dying Light: The Following – February 9

Dying Light: The Following is a significant expansion to the fantastic Dying Light and the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story.

The vast new open area transforms Dying Light experience through new some game mechanics, environments, vehicles, zombies and a whole new story-arc. Can someone say “zombie roadkill”?

The Dying Light: Enhanced Edition also launches this week, which takes 2015’s parkour-fueled zombie survival game to a whole new level, with a brand-new Legend system, improved visuals, major gameplay enhancements, and The Following expansion all included.

Firewatch – February 9

Firewatch is arguably the most intriguing narrative-based adventure game on tap for 2016 due to its prevailing sense of loneliness, unique art style and the ominous mystery that surrounds the game’s overarching narrative.

You play as a Park Ranger, Henry, who is attempting to get his chaotic life in order by trading city life for the Wyoming wilderness.

His only contact is his supervisor, Delilah, who you will come to know over the course of your journey, but someone, or something else, is also lurking in the park.
