One of the biggest reasons chose to use proprietary memory cards and games for the PlayStation Vita was a concern over piracy.
The PSP was one of the easiest consoles to hack and install illegal software on, and Sony couldn’t risk this happening again with its new handheld.
Now it seems like all that effort may have gone to waste, as a new tool dubbed “Vitamin” has just been released, causing the number of PS Vita pirate releases to increase exponentially over the past few hours.
It appears the tool was leaked in an unfinished state, but this hasn’t stopped pirates from putting it to full use.
