Asus ROG has revealed a new true 7.1 surround gaming headset, the Centurion.
The headset is aimed at audio enthusiasts who seek both gaming performance and the audio quality of a good home theatre system.
The 7.1 surround headset is paired with a DAC and ESS 9601 headphone amp, the same used in Onkyo devices, which are catered specifically to audiophiles.
10 neodymium drivers occupy the headset, giving gamers accurate and immersive audio feedback while reducing signal-to-noise ratio.
The ROG Centurion comes with two sets of earcups, made from memory foam and protein-leather respectively, allowing you to choose whichever is more comfortable.
The device’s built-in noise-cancelling microphone effectively eliminates background noises and has a better frequency response than regular analogue microphones.
There is currently no information regarding the South African release date or pricing of the Asus ROG Centurion.
