Sony has unveiled the PlayStation 4 Pro, a more powerful version of the PlayStation 4 which is based on Polaris GPU architecture.
Core features of the PlayStation 4 Pro include:
- More than double the graphics processing power of the PlayStation 4
- Boosted CPU clock rate
- 1TB Hard Drive
- Upscaled resolution for 4K display
The PlayStation 4 Pro is part of the PlayStation 4 generation, and will share a game library with other PlayStation 4 models.
The Pro console will support High Dynamic Range lighting, increasing visual quality across supported PS4 games.
Sony has also officially announced the PlayStation 4 Slim as the new standard PS4 console.
The revised PlayStation 4 will be available on 15 September for a recommended retail price of $299.
The PlayStation 4 slim console will be as powerful as the previous iteration of the PlayStation 4 with a smaller form factor.
