AMD unveils Ryzen Pro desktop processors

AMD has launched its new Ryzen Pro processors based on its Zen architecture.

The new processor line-up includes Ryzen 3 Pro, 5 Pro, and 7 Pro CPUs – with the high-end versions boasting 8 physical cores and 16 threads.

The new chips are aimed at professional users and will be implemented in traditional business desktops and enterprise workstations.

AMD said its Pro processors boast a 52% increase in compute ability over its previous generation of similar CPUs, and the Ryzen 7 Pro 1700 features 62% more multi-threaded performance than competing products.

Ryzen Pro processors will be available in the second half of 2017. Mobile versions of the chips are scheduled for the first half of 2018.

    looks interesting. what interests me personally is price and cinebench scores so I can do a value calc. I just bought a R5 1600 (non pro) for the office and that thing kicks ass!
