Motorola’s new Moto Z will not feature a headphone jack, making it the first flagship smartphone to ever do so.
Neither the Moto Z or its slightly thicker, improved Moto Z Force variant will offer an analog audio port, though both come with a USB-C adapter in the box, reports The Verge.
The move appears to be part of a focused shift to USB-C’s superior audio quality over the traditional 3.5 mm jack.
The phone will release worldwide in September 2016.
