Respawn Entertainment’s man-to-mech FPS Titanfall was previously rumoured to be a “timed-exclusive” that will make its way to PS4, but EA assured that the first instalment of the new IP will be exclusive to Xbox One, PC, and Xbox 360.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said that Titanfall “is exclusive only for the lifetime of the title on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.”

However, Respawn’s Vince Zampella did add that while the first game won’t be on Sony’s platform, the franchise could head across in the future.

“Of course we will [make PlayStation 4 games], just not the first Titanfall,” said Zampella.

Respawn Entertainment has announced that its man-to-mech FPS Titanfall will release on 13 March for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, and revealed the Titanfall Collector’s Edition that is available.

Titanfall may have been overlooked as “the thing those ex-COD guys are doing”, but Respawn Entertainment have forked away from what you’d expect of a multiplayer shooter.

Titanfall is fast, brutal and relentless with its action. The gameplay is really unlike anything else you’ve seen, as the David vs. Goliath element of the multiplayer matches add a huge level of strategy to your actions.

The team have also designed the multiplayer matches to feel cinematic and story-driven, and not just another typical kill-the-other-team scenario – it really does lend a level of immersion and interest to what you’re doing in the game.
