PC gamers had cause for excitement earlier this week, when it was announced that Quantum Break would be making its way to Steam for the value price of $20 (no local pricing available as of yet).
Unfortunately, gamers who bought the game early through the Windows 10 store not only had to put up with the game’s various bugs and always-online requirement, but will now also no longer receive updates.
The news was confirmed by the Head of Communications of Remedy, Thomas Puha in a series of Tweets.
This in effect means that these gamers will also be stuck with the DX12 version of the game and not the better performing DX11 option coming to Steam.
Quantum Break will be available to download on Steam on 14 September.
