The best gaming schools in the country

While many of us grew up playing traditional school sports like cricket and rugby at high school, today’s teenagers are trying out for a regular space in their school’s eSports team.

As a result, it should come as no surprise that when the MSSA revealed its latest rankings for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the majority of competitors comprise of high school teams.

Out of the 26 ranked teams, there are no less than 18 teams are school teams, which include teams from such prestigious schools as St John’s CollegeParklands CollegeJeppe BoysDF MalanParktown BoysRondeboschFairmont HighSt Conrad’s CollegePretoria Boys, Hoerskool Generaal HertzogMaritzburg College and Northcliff High.

Out of those school’s DF Malan, Northcliff High, and St John’s College has all regularly provided athletes to the Protea eSports Team.
