Bethesda is closing down its PC games launcher in May, but users will be able to start transferring their games to Steam in April.
This will give users a month-long window to transfer all their Bethesda games to their Steam libraries, as well as transfer any money in their Bethesda wallet to their Steam wallet.
Bethesda confirmed in a press release that users would not lose anything due to its game launcher’s closure and that game transfers to any other platform besides Steam will not be possible.
An automatic transferring process will take care of most users’ games and save data, but manual transfers might be necessary in some cases.
According to Bethesda, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is the only game for which transfers will not be possible, and for those still playing Fallout 76, Bethesda has put forward a dedicated FAQ page for the transferring process.
Users will still need to use their Bethesda.net login details within Bethesda titles to access content like skins and mods.
