GOG adds Dungeon Keeper 2 and Wing Commander 1 and 2

26 August 2011

As part of its ongoing commitment to bringing awesome games from yesteryear back into the now and reminding everybody just how much better everything used to be, GOG.com has added Dungeon Keeper 2 and the first two Wing Commander games (as a bundled set) to its catalogue.

“We’re proud to present you the next batch of classics straight from Electronic Arts’ deep back catalogue of acclaimed franchises,” says the accompanying blurb.

“With today’s announcement we’re releasing more from the two series that launched EA catalogue on GOG.com – Dungeon Keeper 2 and Wing Commander 1+2. But that’s not all! 6 more great games are coming soon to GOG.com’s ever growing catalogue of awesome games from the yesteryear, in the coming weeks. As announced back in July we have plenty of classics from Electronic Arts on its way, so stay tuned to GOG.com and give yourself a trip down memory lane!”

Word on the information superhighway is that the Dungeon Keeper 2 version is a bit temperamental in Windows 7, so you might want to hold off a bit until that’s fixed up, or just dig out that old 486.
