Nvidia has revealed their GPU/game bundle exclusive, promising to pack in free copies of Metro: Last Light in with qualifying cards. This follows AMD bundling the much-anticipated Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon with their cards in the Never Settle Reloaded promotion.
This seems to be a last-minute decision as Last Light is scheduled for a North American launch on May 14th, with a European (possibly EMEA) launch three days later on May 17th. Its a sequel to Metro 2033, a first-person shooter where players take control of Artyom, a nuclear war survivor living in the underground subways along with other survivors in Russia. Its billed as a post-apocalyptic first-person thriller and scored in the high 80’s in many reviews.
Last Light again follows Artyom’s movements as he travels deeper into the abandoned metro and struggles to free his people and prevent civil war from erupting. Its billed as a thriller once again and developer 4A Games promises the same spooky atmosphere that Metro 2033 brought to gamers. In a turn-around. Last Light now features Physx-accelerated cloth animations and particle physics which could lead it to be a better experience on Nvidia Geforce cards.
