SA developer brings alien-goo cleaning-sim

12 July 2013

South African developer RuneStorm has revealed Viscera Cleanup Detail, a cleaning sim that mixes elements of sci-fi, gore, and cleaning.

The game takes a classic alien-invasion-kills-everything story, and tasks you with the job of not eradicating the aliens, but rather cleaning up their mess.

So imagine you’re the guy tasked with cleaning up after the events of Dead Space – it’s basically that.

Players will have to mop up blood, sweep up bullet casings and pick up limbs and organs that were left around the levels.

So RuneStorm may have just opened up a new gaming genre: alien-goo-cleaning-janitor-FPS?

RuneStorm has released the free alpha version of the game through IndieDB, so grab your mop and roll up your sleeves, this is gonna be one messy job! Today, you’re on Viscera Cleanup Detail.

RuneStorm has also been hard at work on another interesting game, Rooks Keep, which made it to Steam’s Greenlight program.
