It’s what’s inside your gaming PC that counts, but that does not mean the outside has to look like your old 386.

For those of you who take pride in your PC’s appearance (and have a few bob to spare on some aesthetic upgrades), here are some of the cooler PC cases available in SA at the moment.

NZXT Phantom 820 – R2,999

“The Phantom 820 is engineered to chill even the most demanding systems, equipped with triple 200mm fans,” state its manufacturers.

The 820 also features integrated lighting, which can be seen through an acrylic window in the side of the case.

The case is made out of steel and plastic, can accommodate up to nine fans and water cooling, and looks epic in black with green lighting.

Each case comes with a unique serial number, includes a 750w power supply, a wind tunnel for your graphics card, and 6 hidden drive bays.

Cooler Master Haf X Nvidia Edition – R2,670

The Cooler Master Nvidia Edition case is not for those who like understated design. Its bright green finishes and large Nvidia badge will definitely stand out at the local LAN.

The case features a windowed side panel, removable wheels, supports up to six fans, and has nine expansion slots. Cooler Master tout the Haf X as a system builder’s “dream case”
