While our recent article poking a bit of fun at PC gamers went down as anticipated, there were some interesting points raised in the comments and forum.
No, not the one where I was called useless and a terrible writer, but the debate over price vs performance and how much we actually spend on gaming.
This made us wonder: how much does the average gamer spend on his or her gaming PC during a given period?
In an effort to answer this question we decided to setup a short survey to find out what you, the MyGaming faithful, fork out to keep your rig playing the latest games at high res.
While we appreciate that remembering what you have spent over several years on your PC and games may be challenging, we are only looking for estimates. At no point will you be asked to submit supporting documents or bank statements – we are not the SARS.
Once we have gathered the results (the survey will run until next week Monday, 17 November 2014) we will share the information with you.
This survey is also a test run for a more in-depth questionnaire/article we have planned, which we think you will really enjoy.
But enough future-speak – if you would like to help us undertake some real consumer journalism, here is the link to the survey.
