Is your PC hard enough to handle Battlefield Hardline?

The PC requirements for Battlefield Hardline are out, and it’s time to see if your PC is strong enough to handle the cops and robbers FPS.

Battlefield Hardline is due to be released for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on 17 March 2015.

Gamers wanting a taste of the game before then can get involved in Hardline’s open multiplayer beta, which is active on all the release platforms from 3 – 8 February.

But first, the PC specs.

Minimum requirements

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2 64 bit (with KB971512 Update)
  • CPU: Athlon II/Phenom II 2.8GHz, Intel Core i3/i5 2.4GHz
  • RAM: 4GB
  • GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1 GB), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (896 MB)
  • HDD: 60GB
  • DirectX 11

Recommended specifications

  • OS: Windows 8 64 bit (with KB971512 Update)
  • CPU: Intel quad-core CPU, AMD six-core CPU
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon R9 290, Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (3GB VRAM)
  • HDD: 60GB
  • DirectX 11

Those who wish to take part in the beta on PC, EA gave the following warning:

Please note: Machines with 4GB of RAM or less may experience issues in the Battlefield Hardline open beta, as gameplay performance for lower-end PCs is still being optimized. We suggest you close all other applications while playing the game.

    Tried last night… not so good on my old HD 6850 – had to reduce resolution and set to low details to play smoothly. Perhaps it’ll get optimised by the time of release. Not too impressed so far – feels like a step back from BF4
