Square Enix has announced that Life is Strange: Episode 1 will be free across all platforms indefinitely from 21 July 2016.

The highly-acclaimed point-and-click adventure consists of multiple different episodes, similar to the structure of Telltale Games’ titles.

The following episodes will still have to be purchased, but making the first episode free allows all gamers to try out the unique game and make a more informed decision on whether to purchase the rest of the series.

The first episode of Life is Strange can be downloaded from Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store.

The game can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
