Sony confirms the upcoming PlayStation NEO

Andrew House, Global Chief Executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed the development of the PlayStation NEO in an interview with the Financial Times.

The new console will target hardcore gamers and feature 4K media capabilities.

“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” he said. “We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.”

“We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety.”

House confirmed that the console will be unveiled at E3 next week along with more details, and would be priced above the current console’s $350.

    I wonder what the prices gonna be in Rands for the NEO and how that will affect the price of the current PS4.

    Will Microsoft be doing something similar? Seeing that the NEO will be boosting gaming in 4K.
