+1 won't be removing by sub from the other thread anymore. Have fun going in circles, cheers [emoji14]Thank you, much better!
Again, you are welcome to ask me in a PM. Eugene was in a position of power and was tasked by the community to act on their behalf. While he was wearing the hat of moderator his actions should be transparent to the community that he represents. My position is dissimilar, and I'd like to spare the guys who are subscribed to this thread from having to read your conversation with me.
Lol when did the MyGaming Steam community group get co-opted by the elite?
If you don't want 'the unworthy' to participate in your give-aways then make another group for that rather than walling off a steam group that should be any to all member of the myg community.
OK that is about as much as I can take... (And here I thought it was over)
Cheers.

It appears my comments were ill informed and somewhat rash, my apologies. I find it rather unfortunate that has lead to creating a thread on this topic with my post as the OP.
Hey at least getting kicked got me back here, or at least reminded me to pop back in.![]()
Here are the revised rules for the giveaway group.
Feedback and suggestions about the rules are welcome as always. Complaining about them after they've been applied is not.
Proposed new rules and guidelines
These giveaways are being done by MyGaming community members, for fellow members that contribute in a positive way to the MyGaming forum, and as such we will show NO leniency to spammers or people who do not follow the rules as decided by the community. These giveaways are for long standing, active members of the MyGaming.co.za forums only.
You need to be an active member with at least 100 post and be registered for no less than two months to be eligible to join the group, which will enable you to enter the giveaways.
If you are only active during activity contests you will not be eligible to join the group.
If you want to join the MyGaming Community Steam group, post a link to your Steam profile in this thread. It will look something like this: http://steamcommunity.com/id/metalsoup/
Do not expect the group officers to go searching for your profile with just a username.
If you want to create giveaways for the group, please make them exclusive to members of the MyGaming community group
Rules to stay in the group:
- You must make at least twenty decent posts per month during the last two months.
- Spam and nonsense posts don't count.
- Posts in giveaway and competition threads don't count.
- Trolls and trouble stirrers anywhere on the forum or in the Steam group will not be tolerated.
- If there is a dispute, you will take it up privately with the Steam group officers. If a satisfactory resolution can not be reached, a MyGaming administrator may be requested to act as a mediator.
Users who do not comply with all of these rules will be removed from the group by the Steam Community officers, until they do comply and reapply for membership.
If you notice a member of the group that you believe does not comply with these rules, please report them to one of the group officers.
For the most part they look good, but surely a single warning is not too much to ask? I'm not even suggesting that a warning should be renewed after being applied once, but things happen, people get busy and then may be away from the forum for a while at a time. Isn't it fair to give someone at least one opportunity to explain themselves?
If they can explain themselves, adding them back to the group is really easy. They probably will get some kind of warning though, or at least a mention, like StaggerLee is about to be kicked for being a big baby.![]()
Eugene I like them.
I don't think Wyzak will though.![]()

That looks good Eugene.
Since this is the "MyGaming Steam Community giveaway" thread, I'm not sure if this should be added, however a suggestion is to add something along the following lines:
There are 2 Steam MyG groups; one group which anyone can be invited to (MyGaming.co.za), and another specifically for the giveaways/active members (MyGaming Community). If you are so inclined, when you post a GA you can decide if only 1 or both groups can enter the GA. That is your decision as the person giving away the game.
That way someone can include the broader community in a GA if they feel like it; this would just add some clarity perhaps.
