Nope, i get the following message when trying to run it in offline mode.

My download was just past 50% this morning, so it should be done by about 12:00 today if it keeps downloading at full speed.
 
I think its because of the online features integrated into the SP game. Like character transfer, dlc's, achievements and some unlocks.
 
Those options can be gray'd out and any achievements gained (while Offline) should still be actively shown, no?
DLC downloaded or not downloaded should be in the game since it is downloaded...
 
Maybe in a future patch but its not happening now. Besides, you don't want to make it too easy for the pirates after all.
 
I've been lucky so far. Stable game with smooth frame rates using normal settings. It just gets a bit stutter'ish and sound starts crackling after a couple of missions.
 
Its fun playing this game (again) however 3 - 4 crashes every night is now starting to irritate me just a little bit :mad:
