Yeah, I've noticed it a little here and there, nothing as bad as yours though.

Side note: I've made a station's Top 5 Bounties list ^_^
I'm just going around attacking and murdering a whole lotta CMDR's. It's surprising how many run away though, and hardly any fight!

Yeah I'm not really surprised that many don't engage in PVP. The game was always PVE. I was also at a station yesterday with probably 10 commanders, and not a single one of them had any warrants against them. So my guess is most people (myself included) play the good guy.

I am not alone with the supercruise lag though - see https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=82748 and

Once I get my pc up and running, should I get this game or do you guys think I should rather just wait for the console version?

Hmm... tough one, it's very playable on xbox controller and quite easy and enjoyable. But I prefer the joystick feels, and well I also got a shiny graphics card that I can play all out maxed graphics. Really depends on your preference eh.

Would you say a multiple display is necessary? BeoTeK

Not at all necessary no, would be hella nice? FUCKYEAH!

I play on a single 32" and use my hatswitch on my G13 to look around, it's quite fluid. But with an xbox controller you have the use of an analogue stick for that. Works well either way. Though I can imagine what 3 screens and TrackIR would bring to the game.
*Granted, I have a second screen which I use, but that's purely to make notes and so forth.

Ah can only imagine how AWESOME that would be..
Would emulate the windshield of your cockpit.

Nice, thanks for sharing. But what's to stop me getting my code and giving it to a friend?

You will have to link your Steam account to the Elite Dangerous website, and the game will automagically be added to your Steam account.

But doesn't getting the Steam key and activating it with Steam negate the need for their [-]crappy[/-] launcher?

No, sadly Steam will probably just launch their launcher. The thing that I am most excited about is the ability to finally independently track user metrics.

As suspected:
Note: the key you generate will add Elite: Dangerous to any Steam library but WILL NOT grant access to the game without an existing registered Frontier account and copy of the game. For this reason, please don’t give your keys away to friends! They won’t be able to play without having already bought the game from Steam or the EliteDangerous.com store!
