Battlefield Hardline

Well, there is no shortage of server....just players.

Aww, well that's a bit of a shame. Guess I'll give it a skip and just hold out for the new Battlefront instead.

I think only one of my friends got it. I think most people are skipping it. Played the Beta, wasn't bad. But wasn't enough to get me to stop playing battlefield 4 and play it instead.
 
again, imho, with the imminent release of Battlefront Star Wars, they should drastically cut the price of Hardline. When Battlefront is out, there will be even less people that will consider buying Hardline. I might just give it a go if its cheaper, hopefully meaning more people will buy it then.

Personally skipping Battlefront, not a big Star Wars fan, the gun play looks simplistic compared to what I am used to in a BF game, plus the strong rumor that there wont be a server browser out.

BF4 for until BF5 next ...... I hope.

I don't see BFH's numbers picking up by much even if it goes on sale. Most of the people I play battlefield with skipped Hardline and have no intention of playing it. It's not about price, just not something we enjoy as much as battlefield (One person got it and played it couple hours and went back to BF4)

Where as for Battlefront, it's looking like its going to be even more popular than BF4. I understand your reservations, it isn't a battlefield game and it shouldn't really be lumped together with it. I'm looking forward to Battlefield 5, but I'm also can't looking forward to Battlefront.

Yeah, I have to agree with the first part.

2nd part too, I cant wait for BF5, I'll pre order now if I was able to. As for Battlefront, I wish there was more weapon customization, I'll definitely try the beta, that will determine whether I get it or not.
 

Well that was pretty disappointing. Hopefully some better videos come out before the release.

I really dont want to seem to bash Battlefront, but, that video kinda confirms my gripe about the weapons. I like the way weapons are handled in BF3/4, various attachments (granted, dont know what DICE is doing with basically making your gun worse when adding any attachment) but you hardly use your sites? Seems like spray and pray? Or I am just missing something? Seems like a golden bullet tactic.

Plus, saw last week, apparently there will not be a server browser, you will be auto placed on servers based on your skill.

The video isn't very promising, but you really not doing yourself an favours comparing it to Battlefield, the intention was never for it to be anything like it. Yes its Dice, but they are allowed to make other games than FPS battlefields.

With that said, it does look boring. I don't know if maybe it was because this was testers and they over playing the same thing a 100 times. I'm going to reserve full judgement to some more official gamepaly videos come out, and a bit more info on the game mechanics. But I don't think its needs to be a battlefield to be cool, maybe its going be more Halo like. Who knows. I would like to see some gameplay of a non-snow level as well.

I'm also disappointed with the server browser news. I like the way you find matches with battlelog. Possibly it will work like Gears of war and Halo and not be to bad. Will have to wait and see.

Played Hardline on PS3 last night.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, it really could have been a BF4 expansion. It looks exactly the same and plays exactly the same.
Whats really cool is the amount of maps( a good amount) and the more urban areas are cool too.

Star Wars Battlefront does not feature aim-down-ironsights, developer DICE has said.

Executive producer Patrick Bach told OXM (via GamesRadar) that while some rifles have scopes, there are no ironsights in the game.

"There are no ironsights in Star Wars, on the ordinary blasters," Bach said. "You have scopes on some rifles, but there are no ironsights."

DICE's Battlefront, then, is more akin to previous games in the series, which allowed players to shoot from the hip, than DICE's own Battlefield series, which features aim-down-sights.

In fact, it seems DICE is keen for Battlefront to play significantly differently to Battlefield.

"We're not taking into account what we've done before, because I think that would be disrespectful to the fans, and to what we're trying to achieve here," Bach explained.
