Doubt it is 2143x1256, that is a weird resolution. It isn't 16:9, 16:10 or 4:3. Nvidia DSR has 2 DSR settings and that is 2715x1527 and then 3840x2160 (for 16:9 aspect ratio monitors).
 
Heh kinda back in the mood for some ED after watching one of ralfidudes vids. Just waiting for my replacement tracker clip.

The beta has finished downloading! Quickly ran it this morning and it seems to work. I will be posting some pics tonight or tomorrow on what it is like. I am so freaking keen.
 
Seeing as my flight stick has gone pear shape, looking at getting this:

Did your fly5 die? What happened?

The hotasX is really nice for a cheap plastic HOTAS. And Esquire usually have them on sale for dirt cheap. Elite also fully supports the stick.

Yeah, can't get it to stop applying yaw right which makes it difficult to fly, never-mind land, align, fight, etc.

Also, I don't want a cheap R300 joystick, so if I'm gonna spend <R1000 then I may as well try an entry level HOTAS, heard and read mostly positive stuff about it.

I would totally recommend the HotasX! It's actually something I wouldn't mind. I was disappointed by the FLY5. I still think you need to see if you can RMA the LFY5.

Yeah, contact their support and ask them if they can assist. When I contacted them about some replacement switches when my thumb hud stopped working they sent me a "broken" joystick to salvage for parts, but the "broken" one working 100%...

That HOTASX looks sweet though.
 
Loving this game. I started as a trader but got a bit disheartened the last time I got blown up and lost R1.5mil of stock. So I switched to bounty hunting and now I'm earning a fortune that way. R8mil today alone.
 
Update on the Horizons beta: It's STILL UDPATING, seeing as they are pushing out updates daily and I only get home late, I never get a chance to play. Maybe this weekend will be my lucky day. In which case I will for sure share pictures on here.

The game is great yeah. If you are still close to LHS3447, I recommend you move along and away from there and find some of the better systems out there.

Nah I moved out of the starter systems on my first night. I could never get docking permission at a station because there were too many people.

happened to me the other night. had to switch to solo play to get into the base :mad:

The trick to that usually is just to switch to Solo. But that would probably be the main reason why I would move away from the starter systems as soon as possible. As well as Lave / Leesti systems.

Yeah I need to sort out my faction choice then I'll start looking for a safe new neighbourhood

You know after over 300 hours in the game, I still stay away from factions. It limits your gameplay too much in my opinion. There is no need to join a faction. The rewards only pay out after about 5 weeks of constant grinding. And you get attacked by other factions. So why even waste time with it?
