After 12 years, Bleach finally draws to a close with it's final chapter (686) out today. Translated versions should be out as early as tomorrow, and final volume expected in September.
As raw's of chapter 686 are starting to slowly show up on the net, many fans are starting to voice their disappointment in the finale, some calling it; somewhat short and lacking much detail. A short description of the final chapter is available via Yonkou productions
The big announcement that was splashed across last week's volume, is that Bleach will be receiving a live action film adaptation come 2018.
Meanwhile here is a snip-it of the final page of the chapter:
Spoiler: show![]()
I was pretty shocked when I heard this a while back, I didn't read it but I'd watch live reactions of it on YouTube when there was none for the manga I do read. I also wasn't too big on the anime, but even that was a big shock to me when it ended. I wonder why though.
Bleach production killed itself with pointless filler episodes, and I am also surprised it managed to stay serialized this long. It was good until about 2/3rds of the way through the final arc where it could have ended there. Kubo kept it going, on and on.
One again there is more back story to fill the majority of the episode. Manga chapter 687 is used to an extent, in this episode, while some of it was omitted. I am starting to question why I still watch this every week. With now only 13 chapters left to animate! I feel like this has turned into some kind of countdown.
"Hehe, admit it, you're hoping for more filler so it doesn't end so soon", is what I've been saying to myself and would probably say to you except your count down predictions have convinced me you just wanna see the last chapter animated and done with. Think about the void it'll leave when it ends though, it won't be easy to fill.
No I am hoping they end this as soon as possible. The void will be easy to fill with other shows, I do wonder what Studio Pierrot has planned once Naruto is done?
Boruto!Hehe, hopefully something really good. Out of curiosity, what would you most like to see animated?
