The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

Using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to change the original subtitles (left) to actual legible ASS or SSA (right) is fairly simple, until the OCR decides to recognize K as a L or p as a r, from there things get tiresome as you worth through 900 lines of dilague looking for spelling error.

Rodger Smith is a negotiator in paradigm city, a city which had lost all of it's memories from 40 years ago. How ever life continues, and the populace has moved on. Rodger has the uncanny ability to pilot a massive robot called "The Big O". Due to the tragedy that befell Paradigm city, Big O's origins are unknown. I enjoyed the mixture of jazz and film noir elements in the series, it cam together nicely to produce something a little different. Ironically Big O and Paradigm acutally have meaning in the show, serving their purpose quite well at the climax closure of the show. As a whole it was a good watch, I did find some of the pacing to be slow, and character development could have seen some interesting relationships, but will leave that for you to decide as the ending somewhat gives you that idea.

After 12 years, Bleach finally draws to a close with it's final chapter (686) out today. Translated versions should be out as early as tomorrow, and final volume expected in September.

As raw's of chapter 686 are starting to slowly show up on the net, many fans are starting to voice their disappointment in the finale, some calling it; somewhat short and lacking much detail. A short description of the final chapter is available via Yonkou productions

The big announcement that was splashed across last week's volume, is that Bleach will be receiving a live action film adaptation come 2018.

Meanwhile here is a snip-it of the final page of the chapter:
Spoiler: show

*EDIT*
Having now finished Bleach, I can say it was good, nothing exciting like some of the shorter manga works out there, but it is worth a read. One day if you have the time give it a try.

The last panel how ever is the real kicker, you have been warned.
Spoiler: show

I was pretty shocked when I heard this a while back, I didn't read it but I'd watch live reactions of it on YouTube when there was none for the manga I do read. I also wasn't too big on the anime, but even that was a big shock to me when it ended. I wonder why though.

Bleach production killed itself with pointless filler episodes, and I am also surprised it managed to stay serialized this long. It was good until about 2/3rds of the way through the final arc where it could have ended there. Kubo kept it going, on and on.

One again there is more back story to fill the majority of the episode. Manga chapter 687 is used to an extent, in this episode, while some of it was omitted. I am starting to question why I still watch this every week. With now only 13 chapters left to animate! I feel like this has turned into some kind of countdown.

It's too bad,one of my most favourite moments in any anime is this one here..

I think Bleach had really great characters, but something was missing.

"Hehe, admit it, you're hoping for more filler so it doesn't end so soon", is what I've been saying to myself and would probably say to you except your count down predictions have convinced me you just wanna see the last chapter animated and done with. Think about the void it'll leave when it ends though, it won't be easy to fill.

No I am hoping they end this as soon as possible. The void will be easy to fill with other shows, I do wonder what Studio Pierrot has planned once Naruto is done?

Boruto! :D Hehe, hopefully something really good. Out of curiosity, what would you most like to see animated?

So, just finished reading the latest One Piece.
Spoiler: show
That Oda, I'd forgotten all about Lola and the vivre card she gave to Nami. It's pretty obvious that the 'big shot pirate' she was referring to is Big Mom now, but I completely forgot all about her. Plus that whole moment was just overshadowed by all the events that took place then, and with her being made to look rather insignificant and weak, I doubt many would remember her even after giving them her name.

I really would like to see Tower of God animated, but it will never be done because it Korean. It has such an amazing story as well as a really interesting world and concepts which would translate well into a anime, plus it's fairly long and still ongoing.

There is also God of High School, which would make an amazing battle shonen, again Korean. Otherwise I wish some one would do a proper version of Berserk. I appreciate the current one that is airing. However being twelve episodes, it's only it's over before it began. Additionally it's low ratings might affect it chances of getting a second season.
