Guild Wars 2

They might have - wasn't really paying attention. I have a tendency to skip the text and drool at all the pretty pictures :p

Meh, that vid looks a bit fail :'( I thought they had no quests? Sure looked like a Quest log on the Right topside.

I hate Charr, BleH! :D

Well ... you still need to keep track of what you're doing in the game after all - nothing worse than popping into a game and going "Eh ... right ... so what do I do now?"

From what I can see, the Charr fort is under attack, and that feed seems to be updating as the attack is in progress. And you're still going to be getting missions to do - it's just not going to be along the lines of - go kill 10 of those, or bring me 15 or that. Maybe there will be missions like that, but they won't dominate the gameplay.

Just a pity the quality of video and sound is atrocious - I could hear the guy speaking, but couldn't make out a word he was saying. Hopefully they'll be releasing proper voiced-over gameplay videos soon.

Yeah ArenNet have promised that Kill 10 Rats-type quests will be a thing of the past.

OMG I really hope so.

I started playing LOTRO just to check it out since it is free to play now. But I swear almost every single quest I've done has kill <amount> of <thing> or collect <amount> of <thing>.

I'm soooooooo bored of those types of quests. I want fun quests, not stupid repeating quests with just the creature or item changed. I don't mind killing things, as long as I don't have to keep killing stupid stuff since the developers are too damn lazy to actually hire people to write quest lines...

Only reason I played it so much was because my internet kept getting deleted by Chuck Norris every 20 mins so I couldn't do my Guardian title last night. Hope the internet is better tonight.

i used good for a the lack of a proper word.

i could describe it but i might be banned for exessive use of foul language :p

Yep, the game looks awesome!

The Shatterer battle from Gamescom they showed (although the quality of the movie was kind of bad) it just looked so amazing ; everyone using their skills, the Barrage etc..
It really felt like an epic boss battle, so all the lucky people that could play the demo -> aargh I wanted to play too :(

What do you guys think of a release date? I say 28 April (initial release of Guild Wars Prophecies) next year, but seeing the revealing of professions is one a month, I wonder when they will do beta testing..... so it could still be a longer wait :'(

They seem to be going at a rate of one profession a month, so - September, October, November, December? Maybe? With Beta to start in January and a release in Feb or March. That's my theory anyway - but I'm really hoping for a first quarter release next year.

i still stick to my theory about a release next year on the anniversary of the original GW release
