My lvl 10 guy :D

Basically you have to decide how you want to play the game. If you're a looter that likes to open every chest in sight, get all the items in the game, then go for lockpicking. There are lots of doors and chests and stuff that requires quite a high lockpicking skill to open. Never know what's in there, at least I don't :D

!

Thanks for the help mate :D Really been enjoying the game so far. Cant believe the voice acting, wow!

Went with Lock picking, Guns and Speech as my main abilities. Got this awesome shotgun and owned the powder gang guys, now "Liked" by that town you start in. Luckily you told me about the weapon hotkey, as changing weapons otherwise seems like a mission.

Also, what does karma do and how can I check it? Does it affect the storyline? I think I've got a lot of bad karma. Stealing from dead people really shouldn't give you that :/

Go too status on general and press R for the karma.

Karma does not have such a huge impact this time around.

Not a problem bud! I was switching weapons through the P-Boy as well for a while when I suddenly remembered how to map the weapons to the keys haha.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game! It really is an amazing game and yes, the voice acting is brilliant! Don't mind the slow start, when it gets going it's great. Happy jamming boet :)

If you while like me and gave a dude name to a chick then download the mod Rebirth. Lets you change your stuff that you do in the start of the game anytime.

I picked up a copy yeterday for Xbox, will be starting this afternoon. Will be going Hardcore Mode all the way.

Hardcore mode is awesome, it really adds a lot to the game's survival aspect. It can be problematic if you don't keep an eye on your sleep, dehydration and food meters and in the middle of a gunfight you suddenly become dehydrated or hungry - (which affects your stats), but if you ensure that you always bring a LOT of water, food and doctor's bags you should be fine. I finished the game on hardcore and I'm doing a second playthrough without it, but I cannot seem to stop gathering water and food, even though I don't need it anymore. :p

Hardcore Mode is pretty fun.

At least now there is a good function to all the food items lying about. However it can become tiresome to a degree. Overall it is pretty easy to manage to be honest, there is more than enough food and water about. Certainly worth a try for anyone since you can switch it off whenever if you don't like it (will miss achievements though). Only issue I found with it is that I already have a lack of carrying weight and now having to lug food and water about as well as ammo now weighing something it can be a wee bit frustrating. All those little bits add up :p

Overall a decent game but it is fundamentally a Fallout 3 mod, albeit a great one.

If you find it too easy on hardcore mode there a mod already out that takes out a lot of the stuff like stimpacks and the food making it much harder.

Not really a mod more like what fallout 3 should have been like haha :D I am glad they took a good game and made it great. They better not do this again with the next fallout.

57 Hours into the game and only now I want to start finishing it. level 28

Hmmm, got about 37 hours on the clock and I'm just below level 29. Been doing sidequests like mad :D

Guns, speech, lockpicking and repair 4tw (all on 100).

I'll get around to finishing the main questline in like 10 hours or so :p
