Remember you need all the expacs vanilla through to cataclysm to make a goblin. However I believe Twilight's hammer would be a good place to start, although it's somewhat overpopulated. I play on Spinebreaker though

Twilight's hammer is full, they won't allow any new players on there.

I actually wonder what it would be like on high pop. servers. I play on SSL which is a low-to-no-population server.

I couldn't imagine playing on a PvE server though...I love the thrill of ganking too much. :o
 
Alliance re-rollers or anyone who is keen on alliance (really, experience something different for a change) are always more than welcome to give Chaos Reign a shout on Lightning's Blade :)

I'm really worrying about the lag, I don't wanna buy this and get huge lag. I got a 4mb (IS best effort) uncapped, Hope its enough to get me 200-300ms atleast, any more than that I'll prob not get it.

If you find your lag an issue definitely look into a tunneling application. At first I was ultra wary of such apps for many reasons such as having to pay like +-R40 extra pm but trust me, they work wonders! I use Battleping but there is also others like Lowerping and Warpath. Being on 3G they cut my latency by half which makes a huge difference.

Also do not worry too much about latency in MMORPG's since they are not like an FPS and are designed to work fine enough even with high-ish latencies. And your line should easily get 200-300ms.
 
Well considering I am on a 384 line, I get 300 - 400ms, and that is without battleping. I still havent bothered to get it simply since I have gotten used to that lag, its not so bad and I know how to play my toon with it to achieve optimal results. You will be able to play even with a latency of up to about 500 - 600, after that you start to feel the lag. But from all the mmo's Ive played, wow has given me the best pings and reliable latency. Since I switched to the webafrica titan 1 data package, its been brilliant.
 
Really wish free transfers were more common. Would be really nice to have all the SA players on one realm, in one guild.
As it stands, most people are pretty well established by now and paying to migrate your entire toon population (5 alts...) will be way too costly.

*edit: (and no, rerolling all of those toons again... not gonna happen ;) )

Last download is about 150mb..New login screen looks awesome :D Can't wait to get online later tonight!

Yeah, according to the "Breaking News" on the login screens, servers are still scheduled to be up at 11 (12 our time), but u never know with Blizz! :p
 
The new textures REALLY give the game that finishing touch. Its unreal what some of the boring area's of cities now look like.

Also, we took a tour through most of Azeroth yesterday... All I can say is :O ... The amount of work that has gone into The Shattering is immense!
Every zone has been scathed by Deathwing (did he look pissed or what in the cinematic.. well, he really lets loose on the world). Its unreal how every zone has changed in one way or another, most of been changed completely... And this is only from an exploration point of view, I believe all the quests have been changed too!

PS: Still accepting alliance re-rolls on Lightning's Blade. Server population is still Low and Chaos Reign are looking for more SAffers for all sorts of stuffs.
(yeah.. I am getting a little tired of writing this. But I'd love our guild to grow with more SA players).
 
So after rolling my noam priest on lightbringer yday, exploring abit of the world on my main. I logged my lvl 28 mage went to Nstv and quested, I think I'm inlove..
 
Phatso, if and when I roll my worgen I will let you know :P

So far I just stood in awe of Ogri, I love the changes. Started my new troll shaman and rolled my druid troll as well altho she is gathering rested xp till Cat hits.

The changes are vast and amazing, the whole game looks fresh and new and shiny!
