Crysis 2 system requirements revealed

Seems that Crytek have finally learned to code their game engines so that it doesn't need a supercomputer to enjoy the game. If i get this it will be on either PS3 or Xbox.

quad core? check
dual 460's? check
4 gig ram? check

will it run crysis 2? remains to be seen :p

heh. as fun as shooters on console are, if i can get it on pc i'd rather grab it there :)

I was not expecting such low specs at all! Lol, I just spent 20k on a high end machine to play Crysis 2 (SP only, I'll leave the MP for my copy on the PS3) and now I see this ! *face palm*

Uhm that's the minimum, I repeat minimum requirements. That's without all the shiny and godrays.

i'm just happy they went multi plat. somehow i think they will do the multi platform thing well.

push the consoles to their limits or close to it while maintaining that eye candy appeal that crytek games should have and it will play well on all 3 systems :)

Console kids *spit*

IIRC the developers said the focus is more on AI not so much graphics

Right. Checked he specs and I am well and truly over the minimums, so BRING IT ON ALREADY!!!

Lets hope it is better coded than the first one.

Though my pc did handle it on max settings smoothly.

I not so sure Crysis was really that badly coded considering how great the graphics were at the time and still are.

If you want a badly coded game try the ARMA series. By far the worst....

It's so bad it doesn't bring my system to it's knees because it doesn't even use half the resources available to it. It's one thing to use resource inefficiently is quite another not to even use half of it at all....

So frustrating watching a slide slow knowing the CPU and GPU haven't even worked up a sweat

Any Developer can code an engine to look all purdy on a super computer bought on the black market from NASA. A well coded engine looks good while still remaining playable and purdy on entry level gaming machine.
