I mean why is it that only CDPROJEKT (In RPG terms) put this amount of care into their games?!
You're welcome to use my Witcher 1 save?
Details that I can recall:
Sided with Squirrels from the start
Acquired Raven's armour (elf-made)
Saved Abigail from the mental villagers
Saved Adda from the curse
Protected the mutagens in the laboratory with Triss at the beginning
Kept Berengar alive and protected him during battle with Javed
Helped the humans and vodyanoi become friendly in Lakeside
Saved the woodcutters by having them offer the leader's axe to the Vodyanoi
Killed Gramps the cannibal
Never killed wittle doggies for ebil dog tallow!
Engaged in a committed relationship with Triss, pissing Shani off a little, but she gets over it
Defeated the wild hunt (stopped him from killing the Order's guild master whose name I can't recall.)
All quests were done and dusted.
That's about all I can remember, feel free to ask should you remember something I don't![]()

Jeez, thanks for the offerAnd for the effort of uploading the save. I'm quite surprised that you could remember the first game in such detail. Do those events get referenced in the sequel, if you loaded an old save? Do you feel that any of your past decisions have affected the progress of the sequel?
That's very similar to my most recent playthrough and the savegame I imported to Withcer 2.
Except I didn't kill Gramps or save the woodcutters. I also killed the Grandmaster of the Order of the Flaming Rose at the end as well as the wild hunt. Not 100% sure, but if memory serves me right his name was Jacques de Aldersberg (spoiler: who I'm also about 90% sure was Alvin)
CdProject is where Blizzard was when they made Warcraft 2 . Kind of an indie company, without an EA/Activision watching over their shoulders. They can kinda make "their" game, not a game "that will raise profits by 10% from last year" .
Bioware was there at some stage too, but now they're just milking as much as possible. They are making games that are profitable and mainstream, not necessarily "brilliant" games. Dragon Age 2 is proof of that.
I guess you are right about the rest though. Though I doubt a company in warsaw, (middle of russian federation?) will ever get support from ea, simply because they work differently, wouldnt want someone bossing them around. (I can't imagine a russian taking orders well from an american xD)
I checked a video for this and looks really interesting...
Did not play the first one though :/ does the second one follow the first?
CDProjket can, I'm sure go without getting gobbled up and keep on doing their thing. Bioware has yet to release something that was of the likes as in it's day and time as baldurs gate was. Sure some of their titles was good, but not imho as good- that was Black Isle not Bioware.
Bioware was from the start as westwood was after they got gobbled up just not as daft as they are now. There is still hope, though I would say that they have their "best" working on the mmo, then next "best" on masseffect ( which we now know will also be mainstream shitty ) and finally left overs are assigned to dragon age 3.
One can hope that maybe they could redeem themselves somehow with da3...
...I would say that a company could still deliver as dead space 2 was everything and more that dead space 1 was. They even had a separate lighting team to do just that.
A new Witcher game will be announced at E3 next month, developer CD Projekt has told Eurogamer.
Could it possibly be the mooted console version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings? Senior producer Tomasz Gop wasn't giving much away, but did hint that CD Projekt might have good news for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users.
"I can't say anything obviously for gazillions of reasons but it is a Witcher game, and I can say that console gamers might be interested in it," he explained.
I say BRING IT!
However, I'm kinda sick of the consoleification of it. I have no issue offering a console-bred experience for console players but FFS, it's the PC gamers buying your (currently) PC game, so why didn't we get a PC-bred UI? Yeuuugh. Not a fan.
Hi guys,
Haven't gone through all 42 pages of replies, so i apologize if this has been covered before.
Difficulty settings - I have been switching between easy and normal difficulty mainly due to the combat mechanic but have noticed no change in the minigames (ex fighting) when I up the difficulty, even to max.
Am i missing something ?
