So who's getting Dark Souls?

I took down the serpent on my first attempt this morning :). Though I did have some close calls when I let my guard down. Explored a bit of the Darkroot Garden but I think it's time to go back and kill the Capra Demon.

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can access that area through the Darkroot Garden as well.

That lizard I killed from range, found a spot where I could stand and hit him while his ranged attacks just hit a stone and fizzled out. :p
 
Unlocking the door in the forest sure paid off, managed to get enough souls to get my magic skill up a bit as well as buy a catalyst and some spells. Finally managed to take down the Capra Demon without too much trouble (once I killed his damned hounds) thanks to heavy soul arrow.
 
Eish, I finally killed the Taurus Demon. I had major trouble killing mostly because I forgot how to do a lunge attack lol. Hopefully I can get my Drake sword tonight! Where can I find more of that Resin that makes your right hand weapon do lightning damage?

You can buy some from the merchant in Undead Burg, along with finding some in a chest in Undead Burg and then finally you can buy some from the merchant in the sewers :).
 
how does this compare to darksiders, because that really was just tomb raider with a big sword and boomerang.

Dude not even in the same time zone as darksiders. Darksiders is action adventure, this is hardcore hack'n'slash. Can't think of any game to copare either Demon's Souls or Dark Souls to other than each other.

Spent 133 hours playing Demon's Souls and am already up to 20 odd with Dark Souls and never once have I felt I wasted my money, exactly the opposite, feel its probably money i've best spent on gaming.

I don't know how this game does it, but you get addicted to it's crushing difficulty!
You will get so frustrated trying to kill a Demon and freaking rage quit the game, but all you can think about after that is Dark Souls and the different strategies you want to try!

Okay, so I beat the Moonlight Butterfly boss in Darkroot Garden as well as the Titanite Demon in Undead Parish. Now I'm making my way down to The Depths... :eek:
