Downloaded the 3.9gb patch 3 times. Still not working. Now the fkn game wants to download 7.4gb. So to get a 12gb game working you need to download 19.1gb worth of patches.....:wtf: Pls if i buy any EA game again, just put me out of my misery.

Soos n ou pel van my altyd se " daai EA mense is kak".

The infrared scope was nerfed to close range.it use to be close-medium range.
I still live the IR Cheat Scope. Works in Damavant's tunnels and under the Highway.

Well after the patch my game still crashes after a map has been played and a new one loads.
Join the club. Patched once, but the game crashes every or other map load.

The IRNV sucks even on Night Maps, you can't see shit. They might as well just remove it from the game now. BORKED!
I still play fine with it! Looks a bit more KaK, but it still works.
I read this on my fav site and maybe it works for you:

Get the patch from a buddy, it should be in an "updates" folder in his BF3 install folder. The patch is called "Xpack1". My buddy's "XPack1" folder was 2.9GB (Where the patch is supposed to be 3.9GB)
Copy this to the corresponding folder on your PC
Now open Origin, if it's already busy downloading the patch, stop it by clicking the "X" next to the status bar.
In Origin, open up "Settings" in the top right corner.
Under the "General" tab, tick "Keep installers after games have been installed"
Now the important part: Where it says "Select where you want to store your game installers", set this folder to the folder you copied the "Xpack1" into. Now close Origin to make sure its saving your settings.
You now need to restart Origin and maybe even BattleLog, I find it easiest to just restart your whole PC.
Once Origin starts back up, it will look like its doing something, counting up towards something like 15.4GB or even 20GB, just let it go.
Origin still downloaded another 133MB after this process on my PC, at least its not 3.9GB
Thx Jack! Waardeer.

-Still not saving immediately after a match
Mine saves after earning some decent stuff in game.

@Sou1Co11ector: i wasnt going for you mom i was asking if you dislike your mom as well seeing that everything was on the dislike list. Didnt mean to offend. Also MAYBE its rustenburg causing all your issues, Mweb uncapped works well for me and 3 others but we all live in the same area.

@fridgevr: The whole world isnt, there are a few people i agree. I was simply stating i had no issues and asked Joker to share his. As he was complaining about pre-patch issues anyways.

KARKAND NEXT WEEK! ! !

Can't wait for Sharqui - SHARQUI! ! !

Anyone who played BF2 in ZA, knows that SHARQUI was the most played map - not my favorite, but right up there....can't wait

Gimme a HOOAH!

I was VERY noob on BF2 (bought it from the R99 bargain bin), played more with the bots than online.

I loved the scale of the Hiway Tampa map.

OK, EA came back to me on my game freezing issue. It could possibly be due to the latest geForce beta driver I have installed.

Well mine also does that sometimes, thou not always. On map changes it gets stuck @ loading with the black screen, but also not always or rather not on all servers...
Playing more than 1 round on the same map it loads fine.

Kinda weird and with the above I believe its just another broken thing in the game and nothing to do with my pc.

Other than that I get no "Disconnection crap" anymore and my update went perfectly fine.

I have the exact problem. Answer from EA to me on the issue:
Greetings,

Thank you for your interest in Electronic Arts and for taking the time to write us with your thoughts and questions.

I understand that you having some freeze issues with Battlefield 3 since installing the latest update for the game. At this time, we have noticed that some of our PC gamers are experiencing the same issue that you are having also. Our technicians are now aware of this matter and are working hard to find what may have caused this issue with the latest update. In the mean time, this is what I suggest in order to try correcting the issue:

Sometimes, when a game has issues like this, it can be caused by being slightly out of date. So just to make sure, lets make sure that your graphics card is fully up to date, since both Nvidia and AMD recently came out with new drivers on their website. Please click the link(s) below depending on your system to get the latest driver update:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php
or
http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

If you do not know what type of graphics card you have, please do the following:

1. On your keyboard, hold the Windows key and push the letter R
2. When the run box appears, type dxdiag and push OK.
3. When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens, just go to the Display Tab to see your graphics card specifications.

Both of these sites have an auto-detect option, but I highly suggest putting your graphics card specifications in manually to get to most up to date driver.

If the issue persists after updating and restarting your PC, we may need to manually uninstall the game. If you would like to try doing a manual uninstall, please follow the instructions listed at the link below:

http://help.ea.com/article/How-to-manually-uninstall-Battlefield-3

After manually uninstalling the game, please re-install the game with the digital copy from your Origin Download Manager and re-update the game.

If the issue persists after trying the steps above, you can keep yourself posted with the latest information about this issue at the link below:

We appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please be assured that your concern is our priority!

Please reply if you have any further questions or concerns!

Best Regards,
