Lakeside County was againts Ring of Fire thats one of the popular servers thats been owning WvWvW. New servers are againts the top servers so it can be ranked properly.

P.S Only reason Lakeside County was so heavy demolished in WvWvW it's because our server Was LOW Versus HIGH servers, But from what i heard from the developers it will be balanced propperly on release.

Yep - these are all things I've considered :) This is my main reason for waiting until after BWE3 to put a poll out - I believe we can get some more balanced feedback that way. And then we can reach a decision that ... maybe doesn't make everyone happy immediately ... but at the very least not totally pissed off :p

I'm seriously considering writing fan-fic based on my adventures in Tyria :p

Just a random question - since I'm considering doing it myself.

As much as I feel like playing non-stop, I definitely think I'll be limiting myself during the week and then maybe 4 - 6 hours in the weekend. When it comes to MMOs I've just never seen the point in rushing to end-game - just looking at Aion it took me 18 months to get my first character to max level. I like taking my time :)

I think i am way to slow on the uptake here but what server is everyone planning on playing on? and any good guilds forming that are targeted at the SA crowd only?

I can think of about 4 or 5 SA guilds off the top of my head so far - and I'm sure some of them might even be good. I'm going for a fairly laid-back approach myself.

As for server choice - well, we're still deciding. We were initially on Jade Sea but for the first time since Napoleon the French managed to conquer something and we were homeless. So we're busy talking, and we're hoping to make a final decision after BWE3 (which is in 2 week's time) that'll make everyone happy so that the majority of SA peeps end up on one English speaking server.
 
Sounds good to me, i dont mind the laid back approach some guilds take, i mainly join them for the social. Thanks for the info

Anyways - good news on the client versions staying the same - I wasn't keen on a massive download either :)
 
Okay guys - server discussion thread is up. I felt it best to have that discussion in a seperate thread so that it doesn't get drowned out in the general GW2 topic discussion that go on here. It's not a poll - I want some feedback so I can get a feeling for which options we can consider before the final launch.

Now - server options -> discuss

EDIT NOTE: I'm not trying to step on toes - feel free to let me know if you feel I'm charging ahead too much here ;)

I'm glad for this. It means that everyone wont be rolling just those two races on day 1. I think I will roll an Asura for the beta and save the Sylvari for headstart day.
