A birdie has told me that the Core testers client is 20Gbs + and they have access to everything within the game. The Beta client is a slimmed down version with a lot of content removed, so I would assume it's not too hard to allow the client to a update of sorts.
 
Will the launch date for South Africa also be 28 August?

According to Takealot GW2 launch date for South Africa is 28 September

Those were their guesses, they will change them soon enough. 28 August is the world wide release.
 
Ok, so 333 pages is way too much to read for someone who has to work at the same time.
Can we get a good idea of what is going on in this thread.

Has a server been chosen? is there a site that we can all go to for updates with regards to SA and GW2? Will most SA players be playing on the same server or will they be split over multiple servers?
If a server vote is to be done where can we find it orwhen will it be happening?

No server has been selected yet, we will be starting a poll from 3 - 5 servers after the last BWE, poll will be created by Shadowfox on the 23 July, currently everyone is just playing everywhere mostly during BETA, and we hope that we can choose 1 or 2 servers where South African players will make their HOME server.

Registered my account so I'm good to go :D Now to get the client downloaded by new beta and new PC built by then too! Eek. But will make a nice birthday present of sorts at month end ;)

I'm actually busy putting something together at the moment - I figured it would be fun to get a few extra stats out of SA players with regards to race/profession/guilds etc.

But still only for the 23rd :p

Okay ... my little survey is complete :)

I'll pop in server suggestions once we actually start talking about it ;)

Although based on what I've read so far, Petrified Forest, Lakeside County and Whiteside Ridge are the most favoured servers - or at least the three servers we find ourselves spread out across at the moment.

My BWE chars are one Lakeside County active server, not over populated :) Was fun to play on it.

Same - but I heard Lakeside got badly owned in WvW - which is going to put off the guys that want to take part in that.

Again though, I feel it will balance out at or during release, but I think BWE3 will probably give us the best indication - we'll just hope ANet has managed to clean up the matchmaking bug.

But the three servers above are the ones I've seen mentioned so far - I think Inuria is still on Petrified Forest, for the most part, which is why I included it. And PF also got clobbered in WvW.

And while I could start a poll here on myGaming, it's going to end up excluding people who aren't on myGaming - I don't know how many local gaming forums there are, but you can be guaranteed that if it's only here people are going to miss out on the discussion and we're going to be all over the place.

I'm still tweaking the survey, but maybe I'll ask James to plonk it on the front-page so it can get some attention - if not then I'll host it on a blank page on one of my domains :)

But, y'know - when it's ready :p

Well I can say the server I'm currently on "Whiteside Ridge" was dominating WvWvW, but like you say - lets see how things go on the final BWE.
 
WvWvW Servers realy can't be judged on BWE, Petrified Forest only had good WvWvW because it was there from the beginning from BWE 1, Lakeside County was added now in the second BWE, and the servers work on a rank structure, i bet in BWE 3 it will be smoothen out, and Lakeside County will be againts servers there rank.

Lakeside County was againts Ring of Fire thats one of the popular servers thats been owning WvWvW. New servers are againts the top servers so it can be ranked properly.

P.S Only reason Lakeside County was so heavy demolished in WvWvW it's because our server Was LOW Versus HIGH servers, But from what i heard from the developers it will be balanced propperly on release.
