Yeah sure the same goes for me, but if my Wii U is busy updating or downloading demos in the background and iTunes is busy updating and Steam is busy downloading. Why does that have to affect my single-player game? If my adsl line is down because Telkom screwed up in the exchange again, why should I not be able to play the games that I paid top dollar for? The majority of gamers appear to be far too agreeable.
I don't believe that. I'm yet to meet a serious gamer that actually likes the microtransaction model. All of the serious gamers are very concerned / frightened by this new trend. It's also telling to me that a lot of the big game developers in the world are no longer working for big companies but are working for indy houses. Look at Fargo from Wasteland, or Max Schaefer of Runic Games. Those guys brought amazing games to us in their prime and these days they are doing their own thing far far away from the big development houses. What are the credentials of the CEO's of Blizzard, EA, Etc? Which games did those guys actually work on in their lifetimes?
