The Last of Us "contender for best game this gen"

This looks pretty cool, but a lot of those scenes seem like it could be quicktime events. Pity it is only on PS3... even though I have one, I simply cannot master First or 3rd person shooters with a controller. Part of the reason of why I'm stuck in Uncharted 2.

Same here... I bought I Am Alive on special and tried it a bit, but the whole time I kept thinking... where is the girl from the pictures. :)

This statement might have meant something if reviewers didn't give perfect or near-perfect scores for every single over-hyped AAA game that releases.
 
The Proof is in the pudding... Naughty Dog didn't disappoint us with Uncharted so this can only be beter :)

I was able to pre order from Kalahari yesterday without any issues \o/
 
Edge gave it 10/10. That happens so rarely that you can almost guarantee it's an instant classic.

No game deserves 10/10 no game is perfect.
That said Uncharted series was incredible.

Off topic, only the game that ever came close to a perfect score for was The Witcher 2.
 
Still undecided about it to be honest.

On the one hand the reviews out so far are "spectacular" and this should surely make it an instant day 1 buy while on the other hand I reckon it may still be worth waiting it out for a price drop (hell even GTA V shouldn't be launching at it's current price - where's my PC version you bastardos!). Yet again I just I want to play these games so damn badly so as much as I try to resist I am just unable to.

All in the name of gaming goodness :)

Of course something must deserve a 10/10; otherwise all you did was shift your review score ceiling down to 9 which equally means nothing. If 10's get sprinkled around too liberally then sure but in the case of Edge it's given 16 10's so far in somewhere around 20 years of publication, and I can't disagree with any of them except Gran Turismo which isn't my cup of tea at all.
