Injustice
5/10

Great for beating a friend up. Character "special moves" are crazy and hilarious (Green Lantern's results in a smile every time).

Played the game's single player campaign and all it really does is take you through some lame story to get you to fight against a bunch of characters as bunch of different characters. The sequence of the fights get repetitive really quick.

Re-playability depends from person to person I guess but I got bored with it after 2 days.

It is a "control breaker" and a very good one at that (friends who never play games manage to kick my butt by just pressing random buttons :D) and in that context it gets a big thumbs up. What kills it is the initial release price - SO NOT WORTH R600 :(

Grid 2
7/10

I've been playing this for a couple of days (PS3) and I absolutely love it. I won't give it near perfect marks because there are a couple of issues and it definitely isn't a ground breaking title IMHO.

Problems: well I'm not a graphics nut and even though the game looks good it is nothing new. It is what I expected it to be really. Then the very first time the game is loaded my friend and I both had the controllers on and the game forced me to drive and finish a race alone before we both could play split screen. The split screen menu was not easy to find either :/

Positives: I loved GT5 but it this as a more arcade/fun feeling to it. Power sliding those muscle cars around the track is awesome fun and the damage the car takes and the effects thereof is awesome! The career mode is great fun as well especially all the different race modes.

And then there are the tracks which are in new and exotic locations (well, for me at least). You get to drive through Chicago, Dubai, Forests in America and and Japan and on proper race tracks.

Overall - great game to play when you're not in the mood to think too much about what you are doing :)

Spec Ops: The Line
7.5 / 10

Pretty hectic game. There were some frustrating moments and all their swearing didn't really do it for me, but the graphics is awesome and the ending(s) are pretty wow, probably because I wasn't expecting it. I wish developers would start making more 3rd person shooters instead of FPS games. This is so much better.

Silent Hill Downpour (360)
7.9/10

Silent Hill 2 is a game that will always have a special place in my heart. Silent Hill 1 and 3 were both good and Silent Hill 4 and 5 were average games. It really looked like things were going downhill. However, I'm pleasantly surprised with Silent Hill Downpour. Especially after the bad IGN review. Looking at Metacritic, Silent Hill Downpour got good reviews just about everywhere except at IGN.

Silent Hill Downpour feels a lot like an Alan Wake game in the beginning but when you finally enter the town of Silent Hill then it really gets that Silent Hill feel that is so unique to the series. I'm not going to describe the whole game but I enjoyed it a lot. The game has its problems, the biggest being that the game isn't scary at all. Otherwise it had a good story and lots of atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend it to Silent Hill fans.

Flick Golf (Android)

One of those games I have gone back to a few times. 3 different modes and different levels. Each level the cross wind is increased. It's bit of target practice with points for accuracy. Something even my small kids enjoy posting.

It has become a great time gap filler. 5 or 10 minutes free and this is perfect. For me it's a good game, so 4/5.

I completed Dishonored yesterday. I would rate it at least 8.5/10 (PS3)

Only played it once, will so another play through on a later stage.

Assassins Creed 3: X360
I got this at launch but spent some time playing it and also invested in a season pass that got me the Tyrany of King Washington DLC. The game on it's own was good but I didn't appreciate the lack of climbing buildings like in some of the previous instalments, tree climbing was unnecessary and I didn't bother with it.
The extra episodes from the DLC were in my opinion better than the core game as well.
Major drawback for me was Conner, didn't really like the guy and thought he seriously lacked some personality.

Red Dead Redemption (Xbox)

9.1/10

As expected, and as everyone already said who played the game - it's great. My only criticism is that I had to sit through so many scenes that I couldn't skip. Those 10 seconds skinning a bear and 10 seconds between animations when camping really do add up.

Tried playing the Zombies one but I'm not enjoying it that much. My tolerance for repetition has been worn out with the playthrough of the original version, so I'll pick it up again in a few months maybe.

Bastion (PC) - Developed by Supergiant Games

Finally got around to playing this fantastic indie game. Amazing art direction and a superb soundtrack, one of the best that I've ever heard. The gameplay is topnotch with a really well designed flexible difficulty. I'm currently replaying the game in New Game + mode and it's still just as much fun as when I started. This is coming from a person who usually doesn't like the style of 'hack 'n slash' ARPG's.

Not only is the game fun to play, it also has a well structured story with quite a few twists and turns. The ending choice was quite difficult to make; and I like how it fits in with the NG+ mode. There's also some new dialogue and a new mission when doing a NG+ playthough, so it's definitely worth it. The narrator will also change his narration based on how well you play the game, and also the order which you do the missions, which is a nice little touch that most games don't bother including.

Overall I rate this game a 9.8/10. Well worth the price, my first playthough was just under 10 hours, and you should really replay it for the additional dialogue and story mission, as well as to chose the alternate ending. Puts most AAA games to shame, and I can't wait for their next game, Transistor to release next year, which will be an instant purchase for me.

Metro: Last Light

I bought this game without playing the first one, but I still managed to find the gameplay some what enjoyable. The enemy A.I was poor though and the graphics are "meh". I did not understand the story (those Russian names:confused:), but I guess it's my fault for not playing Metro 2033. Still, a good survival game and Lord knows I needed one. The A.I, voice acting and plot affect the experience in a negative way.

6.5/10

Hitman Absolution - 8.5/10

Played it again today. Seriously awesome! The graphics are good, the story is good and the gaming mechanics just work. The only dull parts are the cut scenes which get a bit much after you've seen them a couple of times.

What makes Absolution so great hough is the replay factor. You just can't help but restart a level until you get it perfect and then move on to the next difficulty level. And the way the allow you to be "creative" and dream up new ways of eliminating enemies...just brilliant! :)

Fireburst.

First of all, main menu theme song really did amaze me. Menu is pretty simple to configure or play your desire.
Gameplay is also simple, just WASD to move and X to fireburst. The fireburst thing is some kinda nitro spell which causes different actions from different cars. Some cars do Fire wall which creates a circle around car and deals damage every second around it. Fireblast causes car to be like firebolt which destroy cars if you crush them and last, fire wheel causes car to create fire where you pass and deals DPS.
Campaign mode which unlocks new cars is nice but I think missions are hard or I'm still newbie :D
Destruction mode is where person who gets 10th kill wins game. You can kill your enemies with your fireburst.
Race mode is simple as you can understand :D Fireburst only makes you to do different tactics here.
I can give this game 7/10. Graphics are not bad, sounds are great but still, you can feel that somethings are missing in this game.

Dishonored (PC)

9.37/10

One of the best games I played recently. I really took my time with it, played the campaign for about 10-12 hours but made sure I explored every nook and cranny. The bad thing about that is that now I have little replay value. I'll pick up the DLC's then they're on special and maybe later replay it on hard or very hard while trying to achieve ghost while at the same time not killing of knocking out anyone. I remember being able to do that in Thief 2, so maybe I can do that here too.

Oil Rush

This game is simple strategy game. You only do command your %25 or %50 or %100 of your troops to ocuppy production centers which produce navy or airborne units and oil centers which produce oil 1 per sec. There are also oil storage which increase your max. oil limit.
Resources are two things in this game, oil and units. Units to strike, as I said above, oil to cast abilities(yes you can).
There is a skilltree which is same for everyone. There are some passive and active abilities so active ones require oil to cast.
I haven't played Multiplayer, yet, but I've complated campaign in 7 hours, non-stop :D, and I can say it is quiet nice so I instantly bought one to my friend :D but in some cinematics, characters are emotionless but this could be fixed so it ain't much problem. I can give this game 7/10 and recommend you to playing it.
Thanks for Solitude for giving me this nice game.

Remember Me. 8/10

with 1 subtracted for the crappy camera controls

a refreshing new IP, this one deserves some attention.

Bastion

7.7
The more I played it the more it grabbed me. It's a good game and the soundtrack is amazing. Plus its story is very original with a narrator that sounds like one of the best out there. The game is short though and when I think about it I won't say that Bastion is really a must play.

It's good but it falls short of being great.

Fifa World cup 2010.
Thought I'd try getting into Fifa and picked this one up pre-owned for next to nothing.
Not quite what I was expecting though, the controls are taking some getting used to and I'm getting my but kicked all of the time.
Graphics is definitely not perfect and the sound quality is not as good as some other EA sports titles I've tried either.
Not sure if this is a good representation of the Fifa franchise and if I should rather get Fifa 12 or 13.

6/10
