I havent checked if it is open for char creation but I would think it is. Shrike did manage to get on and is in the guild

A question:

If my boxed copy arrives after the 30 August cut off date, I will still be able to enter my code and play right? I will just be off from the 30th to when it arrives right?

That is correct. You'll just have to register the service and viola.
 
Meh Im still Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from my job! Tonight it is chocobo farming. At least I have the quest for that now and I just need to do my lev 20 Archer story as well.
 
Here is a great piece of news for me:

Takealot emailed me to tell me that unfortunately they have no more stock of the boxed version....

but they will be sending me the CE version instead.....

I will just have to wait a day or two longer.

HELL YEAH!
 
Depressing :(

Got my new char to lvl10 in Marauder and lvl 8 in Blacksmith,still have to lvl Armorer.I want to lvl those 2 up as i progress so i can always have the best gear for the situation.

I like doing the smaller things in the game,going to take the airship to Ul'dah for the mining guild later on.

I requested an upgrade to the boxed CE. . . They told me nothing left and will upgrade mine if there is some that wasnt paid for.

Just hope you dont get the same error that Crazo and Scammer got - their CE editions registered as normal.
 
Yep they are trying to get it fixed as well now, we have no idea why it did that, since Isen's boxed edition CE loaded up correctly - only thing I can think of is that the code they gave in the box was the wrong one.

Around what lvl do you get mounts and do you have to pay gil per minute for using them?

I know about the Chocobo,but i also saw a weird cheetah like mount and a unicorn mount.
 
ARstatus has a good sense of humour, when you go to the site to see if the servers are up, you are greeted with this:

You get the ability to buy a Chocobo at level 20, but you need to get your main quest to the point where you have to join a Grand Company. You can then purchase a chocobo from the Grand Company by using seals earned in Fates, Guild Leaves and Grand Company hunting log.

The Coeurl mount is obtained by having the collectors edition.

The unicorn mount is a Job mount for the White Mage, apparently there are job mounts for all the current jobs but I haven't seen any except the unicorn.
