Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

It's now asking me to input the code found inside my box. Will my account and character still be there once I've put in this new code? I'm a bit concerned after reading all the stuff I've read on the net ...
 
Blackswan you just got the Std edition right? I just inputted my code (use the 20 digit one) and by the evening my char showed up in there - it doesnt show instantly. I think most people just have issues with the boxed CE

The issues some people had was that they entered the code into a new account which caused them to have a trial account and then a new account on the 1st. Just make sure you add the game time to you current account otherwise you'll lose your characters. Isen posted an image, a few pages back, that shows you where to go to add it properly.
 
A simple question.....does my free month game time kick in automatically now that game has launched? Or do I need to activate my game time??....

Sorry its friday...and im tired...brain is mushy atm ;)

If you already linked your game code to your account then it will automatically kick in. Apparently according to Yoshi P we will be getting several days of free time due to the server issue this week.

Got this on console. Took me a while but game is finally updating. Going to try and get on moogle
 
Can't get in. This re-register thing complaining about it already being used. Still haven't gotten my physical copy and BT games says they still out of stock :/ may be a while before I partake again...

Well you have to register your physical copy to get in,your early access code you get from pre-ordering only has around a week of playtime.

If you try to register your early access code again then you will get the error saying that it's already in use.
 
Looks like I got owned by the patch update. Was updating at 270kbps in afternoon. Then on the last 500mb decides to slow.. Downloading at 20kb...too scared to cancel. Don't want to start again
 
Anyone here perhaps have the fully updated client in Cape Town area.. i am in Parow, i am trying to update my client but it keeps failing then it starts from scratch.

@Wyvren Not sure if you would like to help me again :) I did copy Aion from you last when it released as well.

These are things people don't want to be opening. Slow response Internet connection has some advantages it seems...
I'mma see tomorrow if my brother can find a replacement copy in George, or my Dad overseas...not playing today is sad.
 
I just received some incredible hate mail. I was running Tam Tara again and there's this rick near the end that's hollow and I ran inside it and got a little lost, before I knew it I lost my whole team :eek:

Lol, it was completely my fault, I apologised and was a horrible healer that game (First time I lost someone actually) but damn did this go off at me :rolleyes:!
 
Any other complete noobs out there? Played a bit this morning. Level 5 now. Can see myself spending a lot of time here.
 
Gonna be back up soon hopefully guys, fingers crossed I don't miraculously get an NA code instead of an EU one (or doesn't it matter?)
